# Askarr > Askarr lets you request movies and TV shows from any phone or browser; your own Radarr (movies) > and Sonarr (shows) add them. Nothing to install, and no port forwarding, reverse proxy or VPN: > Radarr and Sonarr read your list from askarr.com like any other import list. Askarr is made by LunarWerx. Sign-in is with a free Connections account. The full guide, with the manual setup steps and every answer below in more detail, is [llms-full.txt](https://askarr.com/llms-full.txt). ## Key facts - Askarr is a hosted website (askarr.com), not an app you run. There is nothing to install at home. - It works with the Radarr and Sonarr you already run, wherever they run: Docker, Unraid, Synology, Linux or Windows. They only need to reach askarr.com over the internet. - No ports to open: askarr.com never connects to Radarr or Sonarr and never holds their API keys. They connect out to askarr.com and read your requests, the same way they read any import list. - Setup takes one click per app with the bookmark on the dashboard, run inside your own Radarr or Sonarr page, or two pasted fields (Full URL and API Key) in a Radarr list and a Sonarr list. - Radarr reads the list every 15 minutes and Sonarr every 5, and each adds the title with your own quality profile and root folder. An optional webhook reports back, so the dashboard shows Added and then Downloaded. - Search by name, or paste a TMDB, IMDb or TVDB link to find the exact title. - Free covers 10 requests a month. Try it without an account at https://askarr.com/search, or open a working demo dashboard at https://askarr.com/auth/demo. ## How Askarr compares - **Overseerr, Jellyseerr, Ombi:** request apps you host yourself, next to Plex or Jellyfin. They call Radarr and Sonarr over your network, so requesting from outside your home means exposing them with port forwarding, a reverse proxy, a tunnel or a VPN such as Tailscale. They also offer per-user accounts and approvals, which Askarr does not: a household shares one Askarr account. - **Askarr:** hosted, so there is no server to run, patch or expose. Radarr and Sonarr pull your requests from askarr.com, so it works from any phone or browser with nothing opened at home. - **IMDb Watcharr** (also by LunarWerx, free): syncs a whole public IMDb watchlist or list into Radarr and Sonarr. Askarr is for picking titles one at a time. ## Plans - Free: 10 requests a month. - Plus: $3.99 a month, 50 requests a month. - Pro: $6.99 a month, unlimited requests. - Every friend who joins through your referral link adds 10 requests a month. Cancel any time. ## Pages - [Home](https://askarr.com/): what Askarr is, how it works, pricing and questions. - [Try it](https://askarr.com/search): search movies and shows and request them. - [Full guide for AI readers](https://askarr.com/llms-full.txt) - [Privacy](https://askarr.com/privacy) - [Terms](https://askarr.com/terms) ## Related - [IMDb Watcharr](https://watcharr.lunarwerx.com/): also by LunarWerx, free.
