Terms of service

The service

Askarr lets you request movies and shows on askarr.com. The Askarr Monitor, a Windows app that runs on your own PC, picks up your requests and adds them to your own Radarr and Sonarr. Askarr never connects to anyone's Radarr or Sonarr itself; the Monitor does that from inside your network, so your media apps never need to be exposed to the internet.

Accounts

You sign in with your Connections account. There is no separate Askarr password and no email stored here. You are responsible for keeping your Connections account secure and for what happens under it on Askarr.

Acceptable use

Use Askarr with your own media servers, and do not abuse the API.

Do not use Askarr to break any law or anyone else's rights, do not attempt to access another person's account, requests or Monitors, and do not run automated load against the API or otherwise interfere with the service. Askarr may suspend or remove accounts that do.

Plans and billing

The Free plan gives you 10 requests a month, Plus gives 50 requests a month for $3.99, and Pro gives unlimited requests for $6.99. Every friend you refer adds 10 requests a month to your allowance.

Paid plans are billed monthly through Connections Pay (Stripe) and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the dashboard; the plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. There are no partial refunds unless the law requires one.

The Monitor

The Askarr Monitor is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It runs on your PC and talks to your Radarr and Sonarr with the settings you give it; Askarr is not responsible for what it or those apps do on your machine.

No media

Askarr does not host or distribute any media. It only tracks which titles you asked for. Where and how you get the actual files is between you, your Radarr and Sonarr setup, and the law where you live.

Availability and changes

Askarr aims to be available but does not promise uninterrupted service, and features may change or be removed. If these terms change in a way that matters, they will be re-dated at the top of this page.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Askarr is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost media, arising from your use of the service. Where the law allows a limit, Askarr's total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid Askarr in the 12 months before the claim.
